there is no mark of the past like family

some things worth remembering...

my nephews Lenard and Josef. cute little boys. annoying at times. innocently selfish. the symbols of joy and hope for the family...

The Nephews

Lolo. My Great Lolo. the only person i know who lived up to his accumulated knowledge - true wisdom to my opinion. I miss him, but I know that he'd prefer us to be cheerful and live life...

In Memory of Lolo

and the Fiesta of San Nicolas de Tolentino. i would honestly say that the actual reason for the fiesta has been successfully lost. i like to think that it has been replaced by something else, something we don't have a clear grasp of yet...

At EK, I could have just kept on shooting the crossbow all day, but that would have been boring for my friends...

as i understand the world via the discovery channel

there quite a number of people out there that would readily believe that, assuming UFOs/aliens really are involved, cattle mutilation cases are because of genetics study rather than other things. Like maybe for harvesting ingredients for interstellarly famous dishes - we like beef why can't they? Or maybe they're just caused by adolescent little green men that snorted a little too much radiated gas.

i once had a teacher who said that people who believed that the pyramids were created by aliens were people who had little trust in humanity and it's capacity to achieve. i agreed then, and now i agree even more. just because one's fat lazy ass can't figure out a way to build something so monumental without the use current powerful technology, that does not mean it's possible. and what's the deal with assuming that ancient people as being incapable of engineering and scientific achievements. just because they knew less does not constitute simplicity of intellectual capacity. there were smart people then as there are now, i'm pretty sure.

there are lessons in the past. and one of them is that fine line on how to look at them. there are reasons to admire the ancients just as much as there are reasons to scorn them. they had their triumphs and their mistakes. just becaise they thought it was okor not does mean it is. that can be a reason why it is so anymore today...

it might be who?

as a child, i once had an idea of what i would be once i was working and it was amazingly accurate. now that i'm not a child, what now?

i have found a logic paradox. in the current society, the means for which individuals can attain a level of material contentment (demand meeting supply) has become (in nature or by design?) inclined to tip the scales in such a manner and timing that becoming content is either impracticaly difficult or not an option at all... Mankind (but hopefully not all, just a lot of people), in it's supposedly accumulated knowledge and application of intellect in the aspect of economics has lost being economical.

a common inquiry lately is related to relationship status. a pattern that is potentialy annoying and partialy puzzling. I'm not interested in the said topic yet there are people (whom i think have plenty of other things interesting to talk about) who are...

"aahh... so that's what you're talking about it!"

recently, it has been discovered that i am allergic to alcohol. i don't really drink in the first place so i never really knew, until a couple of days ago when i tried some... or rather a bit more than i think i should have...  i don't really have anything against drinking (being a drunkard, yes); i just never really liked it and so no point in invibing something that i find to have no delectable smell or taste. also the fact that the senses and one's awareness are put on hold displeases me. now i can add allergic reactions to that list.

do not celebrate meaningless milestones... =D

i feel like singing...

twenty... twenty.. twenty-four hours ago, i wanna be sedated!

so far from home, i should be sad... having so much, i should be glad... i  miss the times of pure joy, i miss the bliss of being a boy with his toys... or maybe i'm just sleepy, i haven't slept nicely for sometime now. i cannot help it, so many things are happening that bothers my mind. it has become increasingly hard to ignore them. i try to ignore them for now'cause i know that there is nothing that can be done. one can prepare only so much. and YES, i am getting old. it seems that one can change time zones but one cannot escape age. =P

i wished for bacon in the morning, and voi la BACON FOR BREAKFAST!
